N.aristolochiodes is a most extraordinaryspecies in that the pitcher is ovate with a forward facing mouth somewhat like a Fabergé egg. It may be found on remote mountain forest regions of Southern Sumatra. This species is so named for the resemblance that the pitchers bear to the flowers of Aristolocia. Cultivation requirements are little known at present.
