| N.
diatas may be found on Gunung Bandahara and other
mountains of the Aceh province of Northern Sumatra.
'diatas' means 'on top' in Indonesian, referring both to
the location of the plant at the top of the mountain
(2400 - 2600m) and the location of the mountain in the
top region of the island of Sumatra. N. diatas has
chracteristic upper pitchers of cylindrical upper shape
becoming ventricose towards the bottom. Lower pitchers
are virtually unknown. |
