| N.
macrophylla is closely related to N. edwardsiana and is
found only on the mossy ridges of Mt. Trus Madi in Sabah
at an altitiude of between 2000m - 2600m. It is a most
spectacular species with large tough pitchers and an
impressive toothed peristome. Cultivation is moderately
difficult and it is a slow growing species. Although not
recommended for the novice, it is immensely rewarding if
grown correctly. |
