N. ovata, lupper pitcher, in habitat   Nepenthes ovata  
N. ovata was recently re-discovered on Gunung Pangulubau in Central Sumatra. Closely related to N. bongso, this species is epiphytic and grows in mossy forest around 1800m altitude. N. ovata has a number of colour forms and exhibits a spectacular flared peristome in the lower pitchers.
