N.tentaculata, lower pitcher, in habitat   Nepenthes tentaculata  
N. tentaculata is widely distributed. It grows between 1200 - 2550m in peaty soils of the mossy forests of Borneo and Sulawesi. Its name is derived from the characteristic hairs protruding from the upper surface of the pitcher lid. In our experience N. tentaculata is a slow grower in cultivation.
